Shu Qi as Lai Kwai in The Transporter (2002)
Lai Kwai is intelligent, courageous, and determined, a mysterious young woman whose unexpected presence changes Frank Martin's carefully controlled life. After being discovered during one of his dangerous deliveries, she becomes connected to a criminal conspiracy involving human trafficking and fights to expose the truth.
Shu Qi delivers a charming and emotional performance, bringing warmth, energy, and vulnerability to the role. She gives Lai a lively personality that perfectly balances the film's intense action, fast cars, and dangerous atmosphere.
Shu Qi's portrayal makes Lai Kwai one of the most memorable female characters in early-2000s action cinema.
